These Terms govern your use of the WanderBuddy mobile app ("the app", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please don't use the app.
The service
WanderBuddy helps groups plan and coordinate trips: shared itineraries, group and direct chat, expense splitting, opt-in live location sharing, an AI travel assistant, and a shared photo gallery. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
Your account
You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login secure. Provide accurate information when you sign up, and you must be at least 13 (or your country's minimum age of digital consent) to use the app.
Acceptable use
Don't use WanderBuddy to break the law or to harass, threaten, impersonate, or share content you don't have the right to share. Don't attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service, or access data that isn't yours. We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these rules.
Your content
You keep ownership of the content you post (trips, messages, photos, expenses). You grant us the limited permission needed to store and display it to the trip members you share it with, so the app can work. You are responsible for the content you share, and for only sharing another person's information (such as their location) with their consent.
Location sharing
Live location sharing is off by default and opt-in per trip. It is shared only with the trip members you approve, for a duration you choose, and you can stop at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Purchases
Premium features are sold as in-app purchases processed by Google Play under Google's terms; we never receive your payment-card details. Subscriptions renew until cancelled, which you can do in Google Play. Some other features (such as trip-package booking) may be offered on a demonstration basis and may not process a real payment; any such state is indicated in the app. Refunds are handled according to Google Play's policies.
Third-party services
The app relies on third-party processors (listed in our Privacy Policy) to provide features such as chat, maps, notifications, and the AI assistant. Their availability is not guaranteed by us.
AI assistant
The travel assistant generates suggestions automatically and can be inaccurate. Verify important details (opening hours, prices, safety, visas) independently before relying on them.
Disclaimer & liability
The app is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for travel decisions you make using the app.
Termination
You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time from
Profile → Delete account. We may suspend or end access if these
Terms are breached.
Changes
We may update these Terms; we'll revise the effective date and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and you agree that the courts located in India have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, except where mandatory local consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
